A farmer was having a terrible problem with crows eating his corn. He tried everything: loud noises, shiny objects, even a radio playing all day. Nothing worked.
Finally, he decided to build the most terrifying scarecrow anyone had ever seen. He spent days designing it, making it look as menacing as possible. He dressed it in old, ragged clothes, gave it glowing red eyes, and even added a speaker that would emit a blood-curdling scream every hour.
He proudly placed it in the middle of his cornfield. The next morning, he went out to check on it, expecting to see not a single crow.
To his dismay, the entire cornfield was covered in crows. They weren’t eating the corn, though. They were all standing around the scarecrow, looking at it intently.
The farmer walked closer, confused. As he got nearer, he realized the crows weren’t scared at all. In fact, they seemed to be… listening.
He heard a faint caw, then another. It sounded like they were talking. He got even closer and finally made out what one crow was saying to another:
“Don’t worry, fellas,” cawed the crow. “He’s not so scary once you realize he’s just a guy trying to get his acting career off the ground!“
