The Doctor’s Unusual Advice

A man walked into his doctor’s office, looking worried. “Doctor,” he began, “I’ve been feeling terrible lately. I’m constantly tired, I have no energy, and I just feel down all the time.”

The doctor listened patiently, then asked, “Tell me, what’s your daily routine like?”

“Well,” the man explained, “I wake up at 5 AM, go for a five-mile run, then come home and work for 12 hours straight. After that, I spend a few hours volunteering at a charity, and then I finally get to bed around midnight.”

The doctor raised an eyebrow. “And what about your diet?”

“Oh, I eat incredibly healthy!” the man declared. “Lots of organic vegetables, lean proteins, no processed foods, no sugar, no alcohol.”

The doctor nodded slowly, then leaned back in his chair. “Hmm, I see. And what about your social life? Do you go out with friends, have hobbies?”

The man sighed. “Not really, Doctor. I’m so busy with work and volunteering, I don’t have much time for anything else. My only hobby is reading medical journals.”

The doctor stood up, walked to his desk, and picked up a prescription pad. He scribbled something down and handed it to the man.

“Here,” the doctor said, “take this.”

The man looked at the prescription. It simply read: “Go to a bar. Order a pizza. Watch a silly movie. Call an old friend. Sleep in.”

The man looked confused. “Doctor, what is this? This isn’t medicine!”

The doctor smiled. “No, it’s not. But if you follow these instructions, I guarantee you’ll feel better. Your problem isn’t physical, my friend. Your problem is you’re suffering from a severe case of ‘too much responsibility and not enough fun!’
