A math teacher is talking to her class about their favorite seasons.
“Alright class,” she says, “who can tell me their favorite season and why?”
One student raises his hand. “I like summer, because there’s no school!”
Another says, “I like winter, because of the snow and holidays!”
The teacher smiles, then asks, “What about you, Timmy? What’s your favorite season?”
Timmy, a bright but mischievous boy, thinks for a moment. “My favorite season is autumn, Miss.”
The teacher blinks, surprised. “Oh, that’s interesting, Timmy! Why autumn?”
Timmy grins. “Because that’s when all the leaves start to fall, and I love seeing things in their natural log-arithm!”
