A husband and wife are having a quiet evening at home. Suddenly, the wife looks at her husband with a serious expression.
“Honey,” she says, “we’ve been married for 20 years. I think it’s time we had an honest conversation about our relationship.”
The husband puts down his book, a little nervously. “Okay, dear. What’s on your mind?”
“Well,” she begins, “I’ve noticed something. Every time we argue, you always end up being right.”
The husband blinks, surprised. “Really? I hadn’t noticed.”
“Exactly!” she exclaims. “And I’m tired of it! I want to be right sometimes too!”
The husband thinks for a moment, then smiles. “Alright, I have a solution. From now on, whenever we argue, you can be right on all the small things.”
The wife’s eyes narrow. “And what about the big things?”
The husband shrugs. “There are no big things. Only small things that we argue about.”
