An astronaut was having difficulty adapting to Earth after a long mission on the space station. Especially with food. He was used to only consuming food from tubes in space.
His doctor said, “Your body needs to get used to solid foods again. I’ve prepared a special diet program for you.”
“Alright, doctor,” said the astronaut. “What do I need to eat?”
The doctor read the list: “High-fiber cereals in the mornings, grilled chicken and vegetables for lunch, and a light soup for dinner.”
The astronaut nodded. “Sounds reasonable. What about snacks?”
The doctor smiled. “For snacks, I’ve prepared a special supplement for you. Every time you get hungry, you’ll eat a spoonful of Moon dust.”
The astronaut looked surprised. “Moon dust? Doctor, what is that? Did you bring it from the Moon?”
The doctor chuckled. “No, no. Not that exotic. Actually, it’s that gray, dusty stuff we found in the kitchen and could never figure out what it was. But I’m sure it will do you good!”
