Lost Wallet

Two friends, John and Michael, were having lunch at a restaurant. After they finished eating, John patted his pockets frantically.

“Oh no!” he exclaimed. “I can’t find my wallet! I must have lost it.”

Michael, ever the helpful friend, immediately jumped up and started searching under the table and around their chairs. He even checked the floor near the entrance. After a few minutes of searching with no luck, he returned to the table, slightly out of breath.

“I looked everywhere, John,” Michael said. “I can’t find it.”

John sighed in frustration. “This is terrible! All my cards and cash were in there.”

Michael put a reassuring hand on John’s shoulder. “Don’t worry, my friend. We’ll figure something out. Maybe you left it at home?”

John shook his head. “No, I definitely had it when we arrived. I remember paying for parking.”

Suddenly, Michael’s eyes widened. He reached into his own pocket and pulled out a wallet.

“Wait a minute…” Michael said, looking confused. “This isn’t my wallet.”

John looked at the wallet in Michael’s hand. His eyes widened in surprise.

“Michael,” John said slowly, “that’s my wallet.”

Michael stared at the wallet, then at John, a look of realization dawning on his face.

“So,” Michael said sheepishly, “I guess I found it… in my pocket. Funny how that happens, isn’t it?”

John just looked at him, a slight smile forming on his lips. “Yes, Michael. Hilarious.”
