Couple’s Vacation Dilemma

A couple is planning their dream vacation. The wife is meticulously researching exotic destinations, while the husband is more concerned with the practicalities.

“Oh, darling,” the wife exclaims, pointing at a travel brochure, “look at this beautiful resort in the Maldives! White sand beaches, crystal-clear water, private villas… it’s absolutely perfect!”

The husband, who is reviewing their budget spreadsheet, sighs. “It does look lovely, dear. But do you know how much that costs? We’d have to sell a kidney to afford a week there!”

“Don’t be dramatic,” she scolds playfully. “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience! What’s your idea of a perfect vacation then?”

He leans back, a thoughtful expression on his face. “My ideal vacation involves a quiet cabin by a lake, a fishing rod, and absolutely no internet access.”

She rolls her eyes. “So, you want to escape civilization and catch fish. And what about me? What would I do?”

He smiles. “You could sit on the porch, enjoy the fresh air, and read a good book.”

She pauses, then a mischievous glint appears in her eye. “I’ve got it! We’ll compromise.”

The husband looks hopeful. “Really? How?”

“We’ll go to the Maldives,” she declares, “and you can bring your fishing rod. And while I’m enjoying the spa and the private beach, you can sit by the water and read a good book about fishing!”
