A husband and wife are having dinner at their cozy home. The wife has spent a considerable amount of time preparing a new, elaborate recipe she found online, and the aroma fills the kitchen. The husband is clearly enjoying every bite, nodding his head in appreciation.
“Honey,” the wife says, a hopeful smile on her face, “this recipe was quite a challenge, with all the different steps and ingredients, but I think it turned out perfectly. What do you honestly think?”
The husband, his mouth full of the delicious food, manages a muffled “Mmmph! It’s wonderful, dear. Truly fantastic. Best meal this week!”
She beams, pleased with his reaction. “I’m so glad you like it. I spent nearly three hours preparing it, making sure every detail was just right.”
He swallows his food, taking a moment to savor the taste. “I can definitely tell. Every single bite is a pure delight. You’ve outdone yourself.”
She then leans forward slightly, her eyes twinkling. “So,” she asks, “is there anything at all, even the tiniest thing, that could possibly make this incredible meal even better for you?”
The husband pauses, a thoughtful expression on his face. He looks at her, then at the remaining food on his plate, and finally back at her with a hopeful, almost pleading look. “Well,” he says slowly, “just one very small thing, if it’s not too much trouble.”
The wife leans in closer, eager to hear his brilliant suggestion, perhaps a new spice or a different side dish. “What is it, darling? Tell me!”
“Could you,” he asks, his voice a little softer, “just put all the leftovers directly into my lunchbox for tomorrow? You know, without me having to do anything? It would save me a step, and honestly, it would make my day perfect.”
