Farmer’s Patience Harvest

A grizzled old farmer, known for his eccentric ways, is showing off his fields to a young agricultural student. The student notices a peculiar patch of land where nothing seems to be growing.

“Sir,” the student asks, pointing to the empty plot, “what kind of crop are you growing there?”

The farmer grins, a twinkle in his eye. “Ah, that’s my most valuable harvest, son.”

The student, intrigued, leans in closer. “Really? But I don’t see anything. What is it?”

The farmer scratches his chin. “Well, it’s a very special kind of crop. Takes a long time to mature, needs precise conditions, and you can’t rush it.”

The student, now genuinely curious, presses on, “So what do you harvest from it?”

The farmer pauses, then leans in conspiratorially. “Patience,” he whispers. “I harvest patience. And believe me, son, these days, that’s worth more than gold!”
